Taylor 514CE Grand Auditorium
Call or email for discount price! A Western red cedar top brings extra warmth and responsiveness to the popular mahogany Taylor Grand Auditorium Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar. This Taylor guitar is a perennial favorite among fingerstylists and singer-songwriters alike. Less dense than a spruce top, cedar's warmer, more blossoming sound resonates with smooth overtones. Coupled with mahogany, it responds well to the subtle nuances of your playing. The abalone rosette and rosewood binding nicely accent the warm color-tone top and body.
The Grand Auditorium design combines the width and depth of a dreadnought with a narrower waist. The 514-CE's sleek design yields a strong treble zing across the tonal spectrum and sharpens the definition of individual notes. This Taylor Grand Auditorium is a strong fingerpicking guitar that also adapts well to medium strumming.
Designed to faithfully reproduce your guitar's native tone, the Expression System utilizes patented Dynamic Sensors to capture top and string vibration like never before. Created in partnership with renowned audio pioneer, Mr. Rupert Neve, the Taylor ES is seamlessly integrated into the design of the guitar from the ground up. Onboard tone controls provide added flavor, or set flat for an uncolored, exceptionally clean amplified sound.
The finish used to create this guitar's lustrous gloss top, back, and sides was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. The ultraviolet-cured finish on the 514-CE Grand Auditorium Cutaway is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes.
