Lowden - 'O' and 'S' Millenium Twins - Set #25
Price: R.R.P. $12,999.00
Available in a matching pair (and as a pair, only), an O cutaway and S cutaway, these guitars are made from non tropical woods using trees which have fallen due to natural causes, not harvested for commercial use. Each guitar features matching back and sides from the most exquisite figured Claro Walnut log, and a tight grain, Master Grade, aged Redwood top. The body and top woods in every twinned pair are from the same billets of claro walnut and redwood respectively, from adjacent cuts so that the grain and figuring match as perfectly as possible.. This set is no exception, with the backs of the two instruments showing a stunning continuous grain from top to bottom - and the most exquisite figure we have seen, particularly in Walnut.
The headstock is overlaid in dark Claro Walnut to match the back and sides, and inlayed with the customary Lowden logo. A special Millennium logo is descreetly inlayed on both heelcaps. The bracing on each pair is hand-carved to accentuate the unique voicing, which has become Lowden's trademark. Elegant wood inlays and a Pear and Ebony bound fingerboard add the finishing touch to these Millennium edition guitars.
This pair is in excellent condition, especially for 10 year old instruments. Both show little to no fret wear (the 'O' has been played slightly more than the 'S'), and with the exception of a small pick mark on the bass side of the soundhole on the 'S', both guitars are immaculate.
The necks are the usual 5-piece construction for stability. The rosette is abalone, surrounded by sycamore & ebony purfling. Each guitar has a clear pickguard. The fingerboard is bound in Ebony & Pearwood and has fine purfling lines running the length of each side. The body is bound in figure sycamore, accented by purfling lines. The 'O' currently has an EMG APA-2 undersaddle pickup system & preamp installed (endpin jack), and includes the matching soundhole pickup in the case. Otherwise both guitars are competely unmodified, and include the original Hiscox flight cases.
All the woods for the edition are from naturally fallen trees, and the unique 'Twins' aspect is part of the way the woods are selected. In the usual Lowden manner, the design is understated and classical - the ebony fingerboard in bound with pear-wood, the bodies are maple bound, claro walnut is used for the heel cover and to face the headstock. The neck is the usual five-piece Lowden construction. A small MM logo, for 2000, is set on the heel cover. The bridges are rosewood, and there is an abalone inlay rosette, but no fretboard top markers.
These instruments are currently on consignment from a collector of Lowden guitars. Must see!
Fender Kingman (1968)
Price: R.R.P. $1,999.00
The Kingman was introduced in late 1963, with an innovative pairing of Fender's electric styled neck on a traditional dreadnought body. They have re-issued them these days, but this is the real deal from 1968 - complete with top 'tension rod', a strange device that adjusts tension on the guitars face! Also features spruce top, mahogany back and sides, bound neck with block inlays, and a 6 saddle adjustable bridge. Includes hard case.

Miscellaneous Ovation USA 'Standard Elite LX'
Price: R.R.P. $1,599.00

With a re-creation of the original Ovation pickup from 1968 and the OP Pro preamp plus all-new scalloped X bracing. Exotic wood epaulettes and multi-soundhole design make for a unique and striking visage. Redesigned 5-piece neck is lighter and more stable with a dual-action truss rod to control warp and bow.

Collings 02HG German Spruce/Indian Rosewood
Price: R.R.P. $3,999.00
As new condition. Barely an hour's playing time. Incredible guitar - has to be heard to be believed!!
With the exception of the Baby, the 0 is the smallest guitar from Collings and is offered with the same shorter scale found on the 12-fret 00. Although measuring only 13.5 inches in width (smaller than a typical classical guitar), the Collings 0 has tone and volume that belies its first impression as being less than full-sized. It can double as a travel guitar or a small OM, performing both roles equally well. The same neck and woods options offered with larger Collings models are available on the 0 as well, giving players an almost infinite range of tonal possibilities.
Collings Single 0 series guitars are always highly impressive, projecting an almost unbelievable sound that is full of low end with an overall tone that is focused, powerful, and highly responsive. This 02HG is no different.
German Spruce, a special appointment on this guitar, provides a rich, complex tone and is the perfect topwood for many players who play fingerstyle as well as flatpick. German Spruce is stiffer than Sitka, providing more headroom and power, yet more flexible than Adirondack so that it responds well to a lighter attack.
This guitar is very responsive and will suit the needs of fingerstyle players very well. The German top can also take an impressive amount of flatpicking, though the 0 body size is more suited to players with a lighter touch. Tone is very clear with a vibrant and pleasant high end and just enough lows to balance the tone across the fretboard.
Miscellaneous - Saga BM250 Jazz (Selmer Copy)

Gibson 1972 Blueridge Acoustic
Price: R.R.P. $1,499.00
An excellent opportunity to pick up an all original, USA made vintage dreadnought acoustic for a non-vintage price, and it's a Gibson! Recent trade in - Great condition overall aside from some discolouring of the laminate sides - possibly from a reaction with a case. In 1968 Gibson introduced the Gibson Blue Ridge Acoustic Guitar, it was flat top, natural finish, laminated rosewood back and sides, maple on the inside, and in 1979 they were discontinued and reintroduced in 1989 and ended production in 1990. The Gibson Blue Ridge is simple looking, but has a great overall sound with rich bass and jangly highs. Great guitar for blues, slide and bluegrass. Includes hardcase, great guitar!
