Please contact for availability. Although designed as a student instrument, the Fender 'Champion' Lap Steel is a fantastic sounding guitar, suited to professional use, both then and now. Manufactured at Fender's original facility in Fullerton, California, it features many parts also found on highly sought after Fender 50's guitars, like its Telecaster flat pole piece bridge pickup - equivalent in every way to the legendary 50's Tele bridge pickups. The guitar's symmetrical two bout body is covered in a plastic pearloid finish, which has aged to a beautiful yellow patina, and also features a metal fingerboard platepinned to the body, with screenprinted fret markings, volume and tone controls, metal headstock facia with the original 'Lightning Bolt' fender logo, chrome bridge with original cover, and Kluson 3-a-side 'strip' tuners. Also included is the guitar's original tweed case.
